Learning unit contents
This course aims to equip students with the fundamentals in research methods in order to develop their final thesis.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
At the end of this course you will be able to:
- structure and plan your doctoral project
- formulate a clear research question
- draft an appealing literature review
- make theoretical and methodological choices
- present and discuss research findings
- develop your critical thinking
- make explicit and justify your choices
- strengthen your writing and presentation capacity

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Interactive sessions combining contents supplied by the teacher with practical implementation exercises based on the participants' thesis projects.
Mode of delivery (face to face, distance learning, hybrid learning)
Face-to-face classes (unless the sanitary situation doesn't allow it, in which case online classes will be organized)

Assessment methods and criteria
- 20% active participation in the course
- 30% group exercises
- 50% final work exposing the motivations, the research questions, the theoretical framework, the methods, the structure of the findings and the practical implications
