Learning unit contents
Part I: Definitions and theories in victimology - Definitions and analysis of the main currents of thought in victimology The first scientific victimology. Feminist protest. The second victimology.
Part II: Current considerations around the social issues associated with the victim: Place the victim in society: from the emergence of victimology to the victimhood temptation. Victim: symbolic and implicit spaces of a concept.
Part III: Assistance to victims: History of victim assistance in Belgium, types of assistance services in Belgium, assistance to victims in various french-speaking countries

Knowledge: Being able to define and describe different concepts. Understanding: Being able to explain issues related to the victim and victimization phenomena.

Synthesis: To be able to associate and reorganize the knowledge in a transversal and interdisciplinary undertstanding .
Synthesis: To be able to situate the victimological question in a historical, philosophical, ideological and sociological perspective.
Assessment: Being able to question the construction of scientific knowledge in victimology from an epistemological perspective.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Learning is carried out through a "sandwich" type integration modality between the contents of the Mooc in victimology supervised by face-to-face courses. . It is also based on the availability of various resources dealing with the subjects addressed that can be found on e-campus. Depending on the evolution of the health situation, learning would be given remotely through resources on e-campus.
