"Immigration Studies." The master's degree may be completed solely at ULiège or as a double degree with Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) in Barcelona, Spain.
Training based on 4 key concepts
- A 2-year program (120 credits) with 2 possible tracks: - 2 years at ULiège (120 ECTS) : single degree in Sociology (ULiège) - 1 year at ULiège, 1 year at UPF - Barcelona : double degree in Sociology (ULiège) and in Immigration Management from the Political Science Department of Pompeu Fabra University - The ability to follow the program: - in French-English bilingual: either by doing the whole programme in Liège (courses in FR & ENG) or by doing the 1st year in Liège (courses in FR&ENG) and the 2nd in Barcelona (ENG only) - English only: 1st year in Barcelona (ENG only) and 2nd year in Liège (ENG only) - Courses taught by top experts in the field of immigration - Internship opportunities in government, international organizations and NGOs
A multidisciplinary approach
This new master program takes an innovative multidisciplinary approach to address the political, sociological, legal and economic aspects of migration, each component taught by experts and reputable professionals in these fields.
Students who choose to study in Liège and Barcelona will earn a double degree, awarded by the University of Liège and Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. Students complete one year in each university and will be able to observe the dynamics of migration and cultural diversity in two different urban contexts.
English only or bilingual: the student's choice
Bilingual track (2 modalities) :
- Year 1 at ULiège (courses in French and English) and Year 2 at UPF - Barcelona (courses exclusively in English) - Year 1 and 2 at ULiège (courses in French and English)
English track:
- Year 1 at UPF - Barcelona (courses exclusively in English) and Year 2 at the University of Liège (courses exclusively in English) - NB: students are invited to contact UPF's administration directly during the month of January preceding the beginning of their master.
