Learning outcomes of the learning unit
After the completion of the course, the students should be able to:
- master the basic concepts of communication and their incidence in the processes of communication in public health
- identify issues of communication in various public health contexts
- demonstrate understanding of ethical values central to publc health communication
- apply methods and tools appropriate to different contexts and audiences
- plan a public health communication initiative
- evaluate communication strategies and programs in public health

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
- class teaching with power point support (video conferencing)
- 3 group works (compulsary): 4 students groups (preferably to modify for each work); these works will be initiated during the courses and supervised during their realisation by email exchanges; one work will concern the design of a communication approach in a specific context of public health (communication plan)

Assessment methods and criteria
Below you will find information on the evaluation methods planned for in-person and remote exams as well as those planned for hybrid sessions. Depending on how the health crisis evolves, the chosen method will be communicated to you no later than one month before the start of the exam session.

Additional information:
The evaluation will concern the 3 works produced during the 4-months periode. The final result will be the mean of the 3 works. These works are compulsary and their success exempts from the oral examination. An oral examination will be organized for students not having obtained a satisfactory average for all the 3 works. Deadline for submission of final versions: June 20
