Learning unit contents
1. Health literacy. Make information easier to understand and use. Points of vigilance: application to long written communication media.
2. Internet, web and new spaces of expression: what impact on communication in health promotion?
3. Methods of communication in prevention campaigns: evolution of communication in prevention of smoking
4. Communication methods in health promotion campaigns
5. Particular contexts in public health communication: risk communication and crisis communication
6. Optimizing communication to adrees vaccinal hésitancy
7. Evaluation of communication in health promotion programs
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
At the end of the course, students will be able to participate effectively in the implementation of campaigns and the developement of communication media in health promotion.
The course aims more particularly
- to deepen and develop methods to operationalize the principles of public health communication discussed in course SANT1001-1
- to apply these methods in different health promotion contexts

- class teaching with power point support + podcasts on eCampus
- 3 group works (compulsary): 4 students groups: these works will be initiated during the courses and supervised during their realisation by email exchanges + discussions via Lifesize

Assessment methods and criteria
Below you will find information on the evaluation methods planned for in-person and remote exams as well as those planned for hybrid sessions. Depending on how the health crisis evolves, the chosen method will be communicated to you no later than one month before the start of the exam session.
The evaluation will concern the 3 works produced during tje 4-months period (these works are compulsary and their success exempts from the oral examination). An oral examination will be organized for students not having obtained a satisfactory average for all the 3 works.
