Learning unit contents

What is neuropsychology? - Cognitive and clinical neuropsychology - Principles and methods for research in neuropsychology - Elements of neuropathology - The neuropsychological assessment (basics; clinical interview; medico-legal setting) - Neuropsychological rehabilitation (basics; assessment of the effects of the rehabilitation) - Semiology of memory disorders - Semiology of agnosia - Semiology of attentional disorders - Semiology of executive disorders

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

Introduction to neuropsychology (in both its research and clinical dimensions) and to the general principles of the assessment and rehabilitation of brain-damaged patients. Teaching of the semiologies of the main neuropsychological conditions.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

Having passed the courses PSYC5870, PHYL0646, and PSYC0029.
