Learning unit contents

The course addresses the institutional analysis of therapeutic contexts and its impact on the care of children. It consists of a 10-hour theoretical approach and then a presentation of therapeutic institutional contexts by the students in small groups. The course will be open to the presence of a professional, institutional referent to deepen the reflection and understanding of the content of the presentations.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

Through the history and development of institutional care for suffering children, students measure its impact on child development. They also approach the therapeutic capacities of different institutional contexts.
At the end of the course, they will then have an institutional reading grid that allows them to situate the role of the psychologist and to specify the framework of his intervention

Assessment methods and criteria

Below you will find information on the evaluation methods planned for in-person and remote exams as well as those planned for hybrid sessions. Depending on how the health crisis evolves, the chosen method will be communicated to you no later than one month before the start of the exam session.

The evaluation is carried out

  • On the basis of the presentation of the institutional context of the therapeutic device, made by small groups on the theme related to the student's experience, having integrated the theoretical elements presented in introduction
  • And from the individual writing of a few pages around a personal reflection on a theoretical theme deployed in a practical perspective
  • Weighting of scores: 50% for each modality
