Learning unit contents

During the year 2020-2021, the course will be dedicated to the study of the problem of idiocy and childhood in contemporary thought, especially in French philosophy (Sartre, Lacan, Lévi-Strauss, Althusser, Malson, Deleuze, Foucault, Derrida, Deligny, Mannoni).

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

The student will be able, in the first place, of reconstituting the context of production of a specific philosophical concepts (here, the study of chilodhood and the idiot); secondly, to show how this concepts questions the concerned context.

Assessment methods and criteria

Below you will find information on the evaluation methods planned for in-person and remote exams as well as those planned for hybrid sessions. Depending on how the health crisis evolves, the chosen method will be communicated to you no later than one month before the start of the exam session.

Oral examination in January, on the basis of a work written from 10 to 15 pages.
