Learning unit contents

This seminar aims to integrate knowledge relating to the teaching of French in a migratory context, in particular on the reception and schooling arrangements for newcomer students, in basic and secondary education, and on their appropriation of the language of schooling. It aims to develop the knowledge acquired through the development of thematic didactic sequences and / or (inter) disciplinary educational activities.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

At the end of the seminar, participants will be able to:

  • to integrate the knowledge acquired in the development of didactic and pedagogical devices adapted to their learners;
  • to opt for an effective methodology which takes into account the diversity of pupils (French as first language, schooling, foreign language, second language, alpha-FLE);
  • to develop innovative educational activities to manage this diversity (project pedagogy, differentiation, plurilingual approaches);
  • identify learning objectives, from an (inter) disciplinary perspective.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

Corequis : MOOC « Moi, prof de FLE », Didactique du FLS en contexte migratoire, Séminaire de Questions pratiques de didactique du FLSco et rédaction d'un portfolio.

Face-to-face sessions will be organized at the start, mid-term and at the end of the training.
The participants will write a sheet detailing their educational scenario. The peer review of the teaching sheets will have a formative aim.
