Learning unit contents
Ecological engineering is concerned with ecosystem management, creation with and/or for biodiversity . We will consider how ecological theory is used for facilitating ecological restoration of habitats. Planification, ethics and funding of EI projects will be assesed through case studies, field visit and conferences.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
At the end of the teaching, you should be able to :
- Assess the integrity of an ecosystem and its biodiversity
- Use ecological concepts et technicas skills to identify petinent actions for ecological restoration of degraded habitats.
- Propose a EI strategy taking into account financial, ethics and societals opportunities.

Oral presentation of a case study analyzed during the field week
Individual analysis of a case study selected by the student (written report + oral jury)
Written examination based on list of preidentified questions
