Learning unit contents

The Endocrinology course address the pituitary, thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, testicular pathology and a section on hyperandrogenism.
The diabetology-nutrition course mainly deals with the study of diabetes (main characteristics, diagnosis, management). At the metabolic level, the management of the main dyslipidemias is addressed. The nutrition course considers the most frequent pathological aspects (obesity, debutrition, eating disorders)

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

Students have to recognize the different endocrine pathology. The focus is on diagnostic reasoning.
Regarding the management of diabetic patients, the general principles are discussed as well as the main drug treatments

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

Co and pre-requisites are detailed in the general Master Medical formation (global course program).
Prerequisite: PHYL0121
 

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

This module is multidisciplinary and consists of lectures, supplemented by several sessions of practical activities. Clinical formations are included in another course code and complete the diagnosis learning by a patient-centered approach.

  If the face-to-face examination is not possible, organization of a distance examination according to the same methods (transmission of the questionnaire to the students according to a method of which they will be informed in due time)

Assessment methods and criteria
