Learning unit contents
The course aims at linking theoretical knowledge that students acquired during their studies with practical aspects of international logistics and familiarizing students with the logistics modules of SAP, one of the main ERP management information systems. In the first part of the course, the case of a European manufacturer selling an end-product to a non-EU country is treated. Students are wanted to determine purchasing, production, and transportation plans of the company with the aim of satisfying demand forecast for the next three years. While establishing these plans, students face a wide range of practical decision-making problems, in each they are wanted to minimize the operational costs of the supply chain. They determine the selling price of the end-product taking into account purchasing, production, and transportation costs. In the second part of the course, students get familiarize with the logistics modules of SAP through hands-on navigation, process cycle, and parametrization exercises. Accordingly, they are wanted to parametrize the ERP system of the manufacturing company studied in the first part of the course.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Basic concepts of supply chain management, supply chain network design, production planning, and transportation management
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Computer lab sessions: The course is organized as a series of computer lab sessions that aim to present how to use logistics modules of SAP and to coach students in their group project.
In the first six sessions, students are coached by Prof. Yasemin Arda for the logistical components of the group projet during 2 hours and by Prof. Samedi Heng for SAP system parametrization and utilization during 1 hour.
In the last four sessions, students are coached by Prof. Samedi Heng for SAP system parametrization and utilization during 2 hours and by Prof. Yasemin Arda for the logistical components of the group projet during 1 hour.
Group project: The case is treated in groups of three to four students. Students are evaluated based on their written report, oral presentation, and SAP system parametrization.
Mode of delivery (face to face, distance learning, hybrid learning)
Face-to-face: Students are wanted to participate in all the sessions (10 × 3 hours). They have access to computers and tools that they need to realize their projects (SAP, Excel, Internet) during all the sessions.
Organisational adjustments related to the current health context
Since the capacity of the computer laboratory is not sufficient to welcome all the groups, half of the groups follow a session in face-to-face mode while the other half participate in a live session using Collaborate. The groups present in the classroom alternate from one week to another.
Under the conditions of code RED, students follow live sessions organized using Collaborate.
The assesments methods don not change according the teaching code in application.
Recommended or required readings
All the necessary documents can be found on the virtual campus Lol@.

Assessment methods and criteria
Below you will find information on the evaluation methods planned for in-person and remote exams as well as those planned for hybrid sessions. Depending on how the health crisis evolves, the chosen method will be communicated to you no later than one month before the start of the exam session.
Any session :
- In-person
oral exam
- Remote
oral exam AND written work
- If evaluation in "hybrid"
preferred remote
Additional information:
Students are evaluated based on their written report, oral presentation, and SAP system parametrization.
1. Logistical components of the projet (60%): Students are evaluated based on their written report and oral presentation on the logistical components of the group project.
2. SAP component of the project (40%): Students are evaluated based on their intermediate works, written report, oral presentation, and data encoded/custumizations realized in the SAP system.
Each student has an opportunity to evaluate the contribution of his/her teammates to the group project during the semester by filling a peer evaluation. Taking these peer evaluations into account as well as the participation in class along the year, professors may decide, by a justifiable opinion, to give different grades to students of a same team. Motivation must take into account criteria such as quality of work different from other team members, a greater or lesser involvement in the mission.
Each student is wanted to participate in the organized 10 sessions.
