Learning unit contents

Study of the work of Moroccon-born Dutch novelist Hafid Bouazza, within the context of changing views of the 'multicultural society' in the Netherlands.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

Enhancing the understanding of the importance of the ideological and cultural context of literature. Increasing the capacity to undertake discursive and literary analyses.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

Good command of spoken and written Dutch. Capacity to use the toolbox of literary/discursive analysis.

Lectures. Individual presentations and collective discussions.
