Schedule
Units courses prerequisite and corequisite
Prerequisite or corequisite units are presented within each program
Learning unit contents
From everyday dialogues (10 lessons) the course explores the various components of Spanish: everyday vocabulary, verbal tenses, essential grammar tools, Hispanic culture.
The exercices cover all four language learning skills: listening and reading comprehension, writing and speaking (the latter being mainly trained in Q 2 - verbal exchanges on the vocabulary).
Our teaching method focuses on the differences between French and Spanish, which, while enhancing efficiency and time-saving in learning, requires a good command of French.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
The course aims at A2+ level (intermedieary or everyday level) (ERF). By the end of the course, students should be able to speak about themselves, their surroundings, everyday life (about 1200 words or idioms) and use the appropriate vocabulary in exchanges. The grammar to be mastered covers the following points: all verbal tenses (except for the irregular simple past and the past subjunctive), the most common pitfalls in translation from French, accentuation, pronouns, demonstratives, figures, expressions of time, possessives, interrogatives, comparison, prepositions etc.
B1 level is required or listening and reading comprehension.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
None. "Genuine" beginners can get to the advanced level provided they engage in early and regular work and follow the teacher's advice.
