Learning unit contents

As the current recommendations advocate management based on the bio-psycho-social model, this course will address the different components of this model for the physiotherapy management of musculoskeletal problems/pain.
This course will also aim to develop the clinical reasoning necessary for the physiotherapist to offer quality care based on EBP.

 

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

At the end of the course, the student :




  • will master the bio-psychosocial mode
  • will be made aware of the psychosocial factors that can influence pai
  • will be able to develop basic clinical reasoning for the management of musculoskeletal pain

Basics of anatomy, biomechanics, physiology and physiopathology

Assessment methods and criteria
