Microsoft Office Word
Introduction to the software and its basic functions: environment and interface, input and typing, page layout, formatting, tabs, tables, etc.
Advanced software features: headers and footers management, styles and table of contents, numbering, bullets, etc.
Microsoft Office Excel
Introduction to the software and its basic functions: environment and interface, managing folders, files and spreadsheet, page layout, formatting, basic functions, graphs, etc.
Advanced functions: Fuction IF, freeze rows and columns, filter and sort data in a table.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
At the end of the training, the student will master the basic functions of Microsoft Office Word as well as Microsoft Office Excel softwares. He/She will also have to use more advanced functionality to better manage long documents and analyze large amounts of data.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Knowing how to use basic functions of a computer and Windows.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Courses are organized according to the flipped classroom model. Course material (course notes, exercises, solutions, etc.) are provided to students on the eCampus platform.
A schedule is proposed to the students to perform different tasks. For each task, a face-to-face session will be organized to answer at the possible students' questions.
Mode of delivery (face to face, distance learning, hybrid learning)
Mainly distance learning/"Questions-and-answer" sessions.
Teaching during the first semester. The course schedule is communicated to the students by the Department of Public Health Sciences.
Organisational adjustments related to the current health context
Hands-on computer-based practical examination in the classroom or remotely on the eCampus platform, depending on the health situation.
