Learning unit contents
The Reformation is an essential element of the religious and political evolution of Europe, but also of Western civilization. It constitutes a religious rupture while being situated in the continuity of various movements which mark the late Middle Ages. The course will be built around these ruptures and continuities in order to better understand the specificities of the Reformation and their implications. This course is therefore as much about the history of mentalities and cultural history as it is about religious history.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
To contribute to a better knowledge of this religious phenomenon crucial for the history of Europe, of its origins and his impact on numerous spheres of the western society.
