Learning unit contents

This course aims to present the basics of HR reporting and analytics. The following topics are covered: (1) General introduction to HR reporting and analytics, (2) Strategic human resources management, (3) Human resources reporting and metrics, (4) Data sience and HR analytics, ( 5) HR analytics roadmap.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

This course aims to meet the following objectives:

  • Raise awareness about of the strategic issues of data in the context of human resources.
  • Understand what HR reporting, HR metrics and HR analytics are.
  • Understand what are the main applications of HR reporting and analytics
  • Understand and be able to apply a structured methodology in order to use data to optimize human resources decisions.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching methods are essentially based on presentations illustrated with applied examples, teacher-student interactions and case studies. The course notes (powerpoint slides) are available on myulg.

Mode of delivery (face to face, distance learning, hybrid learning)

Teaching takes place face to face.

Organisational adjustments related to the current health context

Teaching methods will be communicated to students as soon as possible and according to the recommendations of the university authorities and the technical possibilities. The assessment method will remain in the form of a written exam.

Assessment methods and criteria
