This course aims to offer first-year students a first contact with the reality of the business world.

- identifying the different functions and departments which interact inside an organization;
- understanding the economics environment in which the organizations perform.
This course takes place in complementarity and support of the diverse courses provided to these students at the beginning of their business education.
Commitment requested : 30 hours.
This course consists of 5 units taking the form of conferences and note-taking as well as homeworking (reading and watching documentation and supports available on Lola).

In coherence with the skills composing the first year of the bachelor degree, through this transversal course, students are be able to:
- become more familiar to the objectives and roles of organizations (public and private, for-profit and non-profit). - discover concretely products and services provided by these organizations. - become aware of, and better understand the different jobs relating to business. - discover the different (management) functions in an organization. - get an overview of the socio-economic panorama and the industrial world in Wallonia and Belgium. - meet entrepreneurs, CEOs and managers.
