Learning outcomes of the learning unit

  • To utilize and synthesize acquired knowledge; to acquire autonomously new skills with the aim of jointly solving a specific problem in relation with Environmental Sciences and Technologies.
  • Develop the inventiveness, the creativity, critical thinking and group cooperation.
At the end of the project, the student will be able to (in bold certificated steps in the competency framework):




  • organize, schedule and realize a scientific project;
  • Carry out bibliographical researches and exploit their content;
  • be acquainted with practice the scientific techniques relative to the project theme;
  • conceive and carry out a scientific solution to a given problem;
  • Take part to a collaborative task
  • write a synthetic scientific report present it orally and defend its results in front of a multidisciplinary jury.

Bachelor courses

Seminaries with the coordinator and the Soft Skills team (assistance to group management presentation).

Personal work supervised by the scientific staff in charge of promoting the project

Each project promoter may indicate reference books in relation with the project.

Assessment methods and criteria

Below you will find information on the evaluation methods planned for in-person and remote exams as well as those planned for hybrid sessions. Depending on how the health crisis evolves, the chosen method will be communicated to you no later than one month before the start of the exam session.

Based on a written report an on a group oral presentation followed by a question-answering session. The evaluation is organized only once a year, in January. The score obtained is valid for the two examination sessions.
