Learning unit contents
The cursus of project aims to reflect about strategic options for the development of a territory through two case studies, one in Belgium and the other in a central European or Maghreb country. It articulates diagnosis, benchmark, strategy development and programming.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
After a short theoretical introduction, the students examine in small groups a proposed territorial development strategy for a Walloon territory. After a critical analysis of the case study, they draft operational recommendations for development strategy and programming.
A week of fieldwork abroad allows to revisit a similar issue in order to compare and criticize the two strategies of territorial development.
Mode of delivery (face to face, distance learning, hybrid learning)
Classroom sessions, group work in classroom, in videoconference and on the field.
Organisational adjustments related to the current health context
According to the changing situation, the course could be hold online and the fieldwork abroad could be cancelled.

Assessment methods and criteria
Below you will find information on the evaluation methods planned for in-person and remote exams as well as those planned for hybrid sessions. Depending on how the health crisis evolves, the chosen method will be communicated to you no later than one month before the start of the exam session.
The reports account for 70% of the final score. A survey will be distributed to the group participants to assess internal collaboration.
An individual oral exam about the reports and tools used represents 30% of the final score.
