Schedule
Units courses prerequisite and corequisite
Prerequisite or corequisite units are presented within each program
Learning unit contents
- Practical aspects of chromatography (Gas liquid chromatography and high performance liquid chromatography).
- Multidimensionnal and hyphenated separations techniques (GCxGC, LC-GC and LCxLC)
- Deeper understanding of the use of Mass Spectrometry in chromatography
- Exercises : Case studies.
- Seminars
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
The course focuses on modern and advanced chromatographic techniques for the analysis of molecules from complex biological systems
After completing the course the student is expected to
- understand the different techniques (chemical analysis, derivatization, chromatography,...) for the characterization of the analytes as well as the use of state-of-art chromatographic methods;
- describe and discuss about the different potentialities and applicability of the advanced chromatographic techniques
- be able to discuss case studies including the theoretical aspects of the course.
