A vade mecum is available (see coordinator). It describes the conditions for the internship and a contract to be filled and signed by all interested parties (ULg coordinator, industrial partner representative, student). It also provides information on the content and structure of the internship report.

Assessment methods and criteria

Below you will find information on the evaluation methods planned for in-person and remote exams as well as those planned for hybrid sessions. Depending on how the health crisis evolves, the chosen method will be communicated to you no later than one month before the start of the exam session.

Evaluation based on (1) the evaluation form filled by the industrial promoter, (2) the report prepared by the student, (3) the presentation and answer to questions during the evaluation organised at the end of the 2nd quadrimester
At the end of the internship, a report has to be written (see vade mecum for details) and delivered as soon as possible to the internship coordinator.

Work placement(s)

Organizational remarks

There are two better periods for organizing the internship: Option 1: during the summer period between master 1 and 2 (before the academic year in which the internship is in the programme) Option 2: at the beginning of the 2nd quadrimester (February - March)
It is highly recommended that students who do not link the internship with their MSc thesis to give the preference to option 1, to avoid loosing time for working on the MSc thesis.
A contract that describes the conditions of the internship has to be signed by all interested parties (industry representative, coordinator, student) before the start of the internship.
The organisational arrangements for the internship should take into account the covid-19 health context as it will prevail at the time it will be carried out. It will be necessary to comply both with the university rules relating to the organisation of the courses and with the rules in force within the structure where the course is carried out. If necessary, part of the internship may be carried out in teleworking mode.

Coordinator: Serge Brouyère (serge.brouyere@ulg.ac.be) You can also see with the promoter of your MSc thesis to identify an industrial partner for the internship. This is of course mandatory if the internship and the MSc thesis are linked.
