Learning unit contents
We will attempt to explain the diverse sociological approaches of the theater. We shall be interested in the audiences.

The student will be capable of envisaging a specific problem (the relation to the public, for example) by using the adequate methodological tools.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course will take the shape of a seminar where the student will analyze the proposed documents.

The course will take place at the first semester.

The reading of texts and of the following book is required : N. DELHALLE (dir.), Le théâtre et ses publics. La création partagée, Besançon, Les Solitaires intempestifs, 2013.
Assessment methods and criteria
The evaluation will be based on oral analysis and a dissertation.
