Learning unit contents
The course is divided into two large parts. The first part deals with external evaluation, i.e. a constructed process, which is limited in time and leads to an evaluation report. The objectives of this approach, its limitations, the various stakeholders, the methods used and conditions for success . The second part deals with the different methodologies (qualitative / quantitative) which can be mobilised. Finally it also analyse the impact of the institutionalisatin of evaluation on the internal organisation of public bureaucracies. .
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
The aim of the course is to present a systemic approcach of evaluation in policy analysis as well as to present a range of tools used to evaluate the establishment of public policy.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
A course of "public policy analysis" is a prerequisite.

- Conferences with guest speakers
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning)
Lectures are organised two hours a week; case studies are to be read before the course and discussed during the seminar Guest speakers from various fields will shed light on the subject from their own experiences.
