Learning unit contents
The course focuses on modernization, long-time waves, critical approach to the concepts of social cleavages, mass organization, legitimation of power, on the basis of theories developed by some political scientists and of the comparison between various contemporary political systems both within Europe and outside Europe. Case studies illustrate each of the various concepts we consider.

Evaluated participation during the meetings. Written examination both in the first and second session.
