This introductory course to sociology is designed for students in the preparatory year of the human and social sciences.

The main objective of the course is to enable students to master the basic concepts of the discipline

Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning)
The course is organised in seven two-hour sessions, during which the teacher proposes to retrace the main stages of sociological thought, while striving to analyse and articulate different trends and sociological paradigms.

Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment of the students' work will consist of an oral examination based on the course.
