Learning unit contents

During the lessons, cognitive and behavioural approaches of the main psychological problems and treatments are exposed by the professor and by experimented clinical psychologists (outside lecturers). During the lessons, the processuel approach will be presented to explain the psychological problems.


The main topics:
The first psychological interviews and evaluation, detailled analyses of psychological problems, the first care.
depression, anxiety, panic attack, social anxiety, obsessive-compulsive troubles, bipolar disorders and chronic psychosis, sleep problems, eating troubles, addictions and self-esteem.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

To have theoritical and methodological knowledges to analyse a behaviour.
To be able to conduct a clinical interview in order to have an overview of the psychological difficulties meet by the patient.
To be able to elaborate hypotheses about the cognitive and behavioural processes involved in the psychological problems, and about relationships between psychological problems.
To be able to explain to the patient the psychological problems and answer the questions.
To be able to provide the first psychological care.

Assessment methods and criteria

Evaluation in january and september:
Opened questions on the content of the lessons as well as the content of the readings and  "true" or "wrong" questions on the content of the lessons.
