Adaptation of teaching commitments following the COVID-19 pandemic for the May-June 2020 session

Teaching methods implemented : distance-learning

During the confinement period, the course sessions were made available to the students in the form of videos (commented PowerPoints or podcasts) uploaded on MyULg, in the "podcasts" section of the course.
The last session (Tuesday, April 21st) will be given live, via the Blackboard Collaborate platform, from 3pm to 5pm. (Its recording will also be made available on MyULg later on).

Assessment subjects

The course was designed to provide students with an overview of the different disciplinary approaches, theoretical tools or analytical frameworks for studying paraliterary genres. Since the assessment is in the form of writing a personal paper, the course material is not intended to be retold in its entirety, but to feed students' research project and analytical work. Those who have not had easy access to the online content can therefore rely primarily on the in-class sessions to build this project.

Assessment methods

Students must write a 5-page research paper (excluding bibliography) developing an original question linked to paraliterary cultures (and based on the theories exposed in class). The paper should be divided approximately as follows: 2 pages of literature review, 1 page of problematization, 2 pages of analysis (and a bibliography).
The work will be due by May 31, in digital version at bo.dozo@uliege.be and fanny.barnabe@uliege.be.
