Adaptation of teaching commitments following the COVID-19 pandemic for the May-June 2020 session

Teaching methods implemented : distance-learning

The 10 sets of slides are to be seen for the exam. The slide set no. 10 has been recorded and deposited on e-campus, the slide show concerning pathologies in which swallowing disorders may occur. Evelyne Mélotte will file the recording of her presentation on e-campus at the latest the first week of May. The presentation is entitled: "Swallowing disorders in neurological pathologies". Pascale Grevesse will also post the recording of her presentation on e-campus at the latest the first week of May. You already have the PDFs entitled "Eating and swallowing disorders in pediatrics."  They're broken down as follows: - Part 1: Theoretical Basis  - Part 2: Evaluation - Part 3: Raising Awareness for Management Given the circumstances, Ms. Grevesse will record a lighter version of the main content of the 3 parts. The version to be seen for the examination will be the recorded light version. You still have access to the complete 3 parts if you want more information on the subject.
The parts of the book on swallowing in people suffering from Parkinson's disease are to be read. A question will be asked on one of the 3 parts on the day of the exam. I remind you that I can add pdf on e-campus until May 11th. Students can send their questions to dominique.morsomme@uliege.be . If a visio is necessary in view of the number of questions, I will be at the disposal of the students as long as they send me an email before April 30, 2020.

Assessment subjects

See above. The whole matter has been seen almost entirely face-to-face. Students will therefore be assessed on the whole matter as described above.

Assessment methods

Due to Covid-19, the exam's modalities have been changed. The examination will no longer be a written examination but an oral examination. It will be done via Skype. Marion Hubin, the assistant of the Voice Unit will be present during the exam as an external observer. I foresee a duration per student between 20 and 30 minutes. The examination will take place over three days. More informations to contact you the day of the examination will be send by my Uliege.
In order to avoid cheating, the following rules will be adopted: 1. You must be alone in the room you will choose for the day of the exam. 2. You must show proof that no lectures, papers, diagrams, figures, summaries are present on the desk, walls or floor. A quick tour of the room will be required. We also will ask you to remove any mobile phones, tablets or other electronic objects from around you. 3. We ask you to connect if possible via cable and not via the wi-fi network. 4. If the connection is interrupted, the question you are answering will be automatically cancelled. Another question will then be proposed.
