Learning unit contents

This course focuses on language evaluation and intervention in different pathologies.


Different topics will be developed :
Description and utilisation of evalution tools
Mental deficiency :

  • Syndromic specificities : mainly Down's syndrome, Fragile-X and Williams syndrome
  • Reading and mental deficiency
Deafblindness
Autism spectrum disorders
Cerebral palsy
  This course will also focus on several alteernative communication systems
The role of the speech and language therapist will be discussed

The student will get familiarized with the main topics and methodologies of language and communication disabilities
