Learning outcomes of the learning unit
This is the fifth year of a 6-year programme. The final objective is the written and oral practice of Dutch.
The fifth part focuses on the knowledge of Dutch grammar and vocabulary related to business.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
The student should have attended the first four years of the program or have a good level in Dutch to be able to follow this class.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning)
2 hours every week. Students will be asked to do some homework and attend the class actively. It is possible to follow @lter at the same time.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written and oral examination in June.
- The written exam will consist in different grammar and vocabulary exercises and a writing exercise.
- The oral exam will consist in an oral presentation with a Power Point of a file of texts (15 pages) chosen by the student.

Adaptation of teaching commitments following the COVID-19 pandemic for the May-June 2020 session
Teaching methods implemented : distance-learning
Face-to-face courses have been replaced by:
- the sending of the corrected answers on myuliege...
- the possibility for students to complete several additional assignments at home and send them to the teacher for correction
- creation of a DISCORD network with text chat rooms (forums) to allow students to ask questions directly, related to the subject matter
- live" sessions via a DISCORD vocal lounge organised every week instead of the face-to-face course: review of the material (reading of texts, debates, explanations, etc.) and question-and-answer session.
Assessment subjects
1. Oral presentation of the reading file on the basis of a Power Point (10 min) - question/answer session
2. Vocabulary and content of lessons 14 to 18 of the "Néerlandais des Affaires" coursebook and the files related to these lessons.
a) Vocabulary questions: synonyms, opposites, definitions, translations, ...
b) Content questions: summarising, giving your opinion, paraphrasing, ... the texts/videos in the files.

Adaptation of teaching commitments following the COVID-19 pandemic for the Aug-Sept 2020 session
Assessment subjects
Students will begin their exam with the oral presentation of their reading portfolio (10 minutes presentation + 5 minutes questions). They will then be questioned orally on:
- the vocabulary from lessons 14 to 18 of the coursebook "Néerlandais des Affaires", as well as the corresponding supplementary exercise files: synonyms, opposites, translations, definitions, etc.
- the content of the files 14 to 18 of supplementary exercises: the student must be able to summarise or give his or her opinion on the topics dealt with in the files.
Assessment methods
Oral examination online on the FNovakovic network via the DISCORD platform. Please register by e-mail for the exam, and join Discord if you had not done so in May/June.
