Learning unit contents
Through the course DIDAC II, we will continue to study throughly the topics explored during the course DIDAC I.
Various original didactic tools to build the learning will be experienced and analysed (see the workshops list below).
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
At the end of this teaching unit, the student will be able to: - build a complete lesson sequence, consistent with the expectations of the competency frameworks for secondary education and consistent with the most relevant pedagogical foundations, given the research in didactics; - satisfactorily implement several lesson sequences in transition secondary education; - be able to self-evaluate and justify choices based on pedagogical and didactic theories and grids; - to design original didactic tools adapted to the subjects to be addressed and to the public concerned.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
The different parts of the exam DIDAC 1 must have been taked.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Workshops :
- To pilot a debate between the students
- To choice and to operate work with various texts.
- Exploit Internet tools in geography (virtual globes, cartographic portals) and GIS
- Outdoor learning activities
- Animating a debate in a role play
- Presentation of a lesson for teaching practices in general education classroms.
- Annual course planning.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning)
Face-to-face for the workshops, that take place every wednesday (see the horary on the Cifen website :

- 20 h of teaching practices in March-April, in transition education channels.
- 6 observation hours where the teaching practices will be done.
- 10 hours of scolar activities out of the classroom.

Assessment methods and criteria
Training evaluation : - Exercices made durint the workshops : feedback (sometimes a note) by the pairs and by the teachers; - Training notebook : free individual feedbacks.
Certificative evaluation : - Port-folio (60%) - Public lessons (40%) : For taking the exam named "public lessons", the student has to present the pedagogical frame for some lessons on two differents topics in front of a mixed jury (physical and social geography, general didactics and special didactics).
Failure in public lessons can lead to failure for this teaching unit.

Course of the 22th April : delayed the 24th April - distance learning.
Assessment subjects
L'évaluation s'appuye sur deux éléments :
- un port-folio réunissant une série de productions pédagogiques, dont le contenu a été adapté en fonction des circonstances (document envoyé aux étudiants);
- deux leçons publiques d'examen : un dossier doit être envoyé 5 jours avant la défense orale, qui se déroulera à distance; le contenu attendu du dossier est précisé dans un document transmis aux étudiants.
Assessment methods
- Evaluation d'un port-folio.
- Evaluation des dossiers didactiques relatifs aux leçons publiques d'examen et de la défense orale de ces dernières, qui se déroulera à distance.
