Current issues in media, communication and expression arts education in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation

Learning mechanisms (building a pedagogical sequence for media, communication and expression arts education; formulating instructions; choosing materials; working on motivation in the classroom)
The knowledge to be taught (concepts and notions, didactic transposition, didactic programming)
Theoretical approach to the concepts of media literacy and transliteracy
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
- To be familiar with theoretical research in the field of media education and the didactics of the arts of expression.
- To be able to critically evaluate a teaching sequence and propose areas for improvement.
- Be able to prepare relevant lessons, adapted to the students and that fully involve them in the learning process.
- Communicate with a group of students, design appropriate materials and use them appropriately.
- Know how to organize and manage learning in the classroom.
- Be able to question your practice and consider solutions to the learning problems encountered by students.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Fluency in both written and spoken french.
