Learning unit contents
The course dedicates one chapter for each of the following learning/teaching paradigms:
1. Observation/Modelling
2. Reception/Transmission
3. Practice/Coaching
4. Exploration/Documentation
5. Experimentation/Reactivity
6. Creation/Confortation
7. Metacognition
8. Debate/Animation
They are linked to learning theories (social learning, behaviorism, associationism, constructivism, cognitivism, instumentalism, connectivism...).
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
- Analyse learning activities referring to different learning/teaching events.
- Make links between the learning/teaching paradigms and learning theories.

Depending on the number of students enrolled in the course, the methodology may change.
Case 1: Group of over 35-40 students:
The MFTA course is based on the one hand on teacher's lectures.
On the other hand, learners' participation is elicited during the course and at a distance:
- face to face interactions
- questions and answers through forums
- "Flipped classroom": Reading Questions Answer Test method
- CAMEL method (individual reading, cooperation...)
- case study
- "Challenges" workshop: problem-solving activities
- Training to exams modalities: multiple choice questions including general implict solutions (MCQ-GIS), large choice questions (LCQ) and confidence degree use
Case 2: Group of less than about forty students:
- introductory session
- Method of the PARM (Reciprocal Multimedia Animation Projects)
The students, in groups of 3 or 4, develop a project on a theme of the course that they will present in plenary session.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning)
Case 1 :
The course takes place mainly during face to face sessions. However, students will be asked to carry out distance activities.
Case 2:
A few sessions will be linked in presence (introduction, launching of projects and technological tools, presentation of the PARM). Then, the building of the PARM will take place at home (or in open spaces) with some meeting fixed with the professor and/or her assistants.

Assessment methods and criteria
Case 1 :
Evaluation is based on a written exam with Degrees of Certainty with two phases:
(1) Without books: large choice questions reffering to a concepts and authors' names list.
(2) Open Books: by MCQs and General Implicit Solutions : None, All, Lack of Data, Absurdity (Non sense) in the first part of the question.
The Degrees of Certainty (DC) permit the students to obtain additional Metacognitive Bonus provided their score in Confidence and Prudence reach minimal levels fixed for each of them and that a minimal number of answers is given by the student with a Degree of Certainty.
If the total student's score is under 10/20, but (s)he has obtained at least 10/20 in a part of the exam, (s)he can only pass again the failed part.
Case 2:
The assessment is based on
- the evaluation of the production and animation of the PARM on the theme chosen and validated by the teacher (70%)
- an individual written examination (book closed) (30%)
NB : The student should obtain 10/20 to validate the course. If he obtains less than 10/20, but more than 10/20 on one of the two parts, the student must only take again the part of the exam where he had a failure. If the student failed the PARM, the teacher can choose to change the evaluation methods.
