At the end of the course the student has the required knowledge on: - Ecosystem functioning - The diversity of ecosystems and the organization of the biosphere - Characteristics of the major farming systems - Services provided by ecosystems The student is able to critically analyze the relationship between the well-being of human populations, agriculture and the environment
