Learning unit contents
This course aims to overview the principles of motor learning in a way to apply them in a large variety of sports settings.
Chapters of the course refer to one of the most known book available in the literature.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
To draw from motor learning theory and associated research the main principles of acquisition of motor and sport skills and to link them with the notions relative to pedagogical relationship.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Specific courses of bloc 1 of the bachelor in Sport Sciences.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Ex cathedra lectures, exercises organized during the class.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning)
Students are directly involved in their learning process. Teaching is based on interactivity between the students and the course holder.
Recommended or required readings
A copy of the slides presented during the lecture are available on myULiège as well as a copy of the chapters.
Assessment methods and criteria
Evaluation lays on a written exam based on open questions where theory has to be applied to concrete field situations.
