Learning outcomes of the learning unit

The course prepares students to make the best of the two-week initiation internship in a public pharmacy scheduled at the end of the Bachelor's cycle (in the summer).
It aims at raising awareness of the basics of professional communication through dealing with "prototypical" situations:
- the unfolding of a classic pharmaceutical interview: welcome, analysis of the patient's request, negotiation, conclusion (use of the QUIDAM method)
- inadmissible  / incompatible patients' demands with the pharmacist's function, ethics or skills
- the management of emotions (impatience, anger, emotional outbursts) and personalities
The key-objective could be summed as 'patient-centered approach".

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

A practical command of French is mandatroy.

The course is organized as small-group workshops and used simulations, namely within the didactic pharmacy.
