Learning unit contents

The workshop will address: -the communication mechanisms and sharing of knowledge -the relational mechanisms inherent to communication -the role of material représentations (sketches, plans, models ...) as means of communication with oneself and others , their impact on the reorganisation of thinking, on the elaboration of the common reference -problem solving in collaboration (with clients, users, co-workers, partners,..) leading to the notion of collective intelligence (the systemic approach will be introduced) -the man-machine interaction in collaborations -analytical methodologies of uses and parcipating approach.

The workshop explores the complex mechanisms fo communication focusing on knowledge sharing in architecture.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The workshop will be given by Marie Roosen and Guillaume Joachim and will be supporter by external speakers : Jean-Marie Gauthier (prof. faculté de psychologie), Pierre Leclercq(prof. faculté des sciences appliquées), Grégoire Giot (doctorant en architecture) ,.... Sessions will alternate between theoretical input , active experimentations and situational analysis.

Assessment methods and criteria

The students will be asked to deliver a critical analysis articulating field observations and theoretical approach. This paper may be the output produced over several workshops and /or be part of a TFE.
