Learning unit contents

The course addressed the theoretical concepts and practical-technological tools it is important to know to apprehend the study of the ecology of fish in rivers, at the individual or populational scale.
Depending on the numbers of students enrolled in the course, we try to offer a maximum of active participation in field activities with LDPH staff, followed by debriefing or more theoretical courses.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

Basic knowledge of animal biology is desired.
Mastery of the French language.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Active participation in field activities and laboratory activities :
- Electric fishing inventory. - Techniques for marking fish. - Monitoring of migratory movements of fish.
