Assessment methods and criteria
The evaluation criteria are reminded during the presentation sessions, for each chapter. They include criteria such as attendance at the information session, the adequacy of the participants tested, the accuracy of the data obtained, the quality of the recordings, the students' ability to work as a team, compliance with the guidelines (layout of documents and data), clarity of the presentation, relevance of the answers to the issues tackled, and originality of the work. As language is an important part of the speech and language therapist's professional skills, spelling will be included in the evaluation criteria. In addition, all language errors (usage, grammar or syntax) will be sanctioned. As a general rule, only 10 errors will be tolerated. If more errors are made in the first-session report, it will be graded 5/20 and must be presented again during the second session of exams. During the second session, excessive errors will result in the final grade being lowered by 2 points. In order to pass this course, students must complete each of the three independent chapters. If one of the chapters is not completed, the overal mark for the course is 7/20; this mark may not be higher than the average of all chapters, nor lower than the mark for the incomplete chapter.
