Learning unit contents

The internship preparation aims to :

  • understand the running of an entreprise
  • understand the notions, concepts and terminologies used in management science;
  • synthetise the information using schematic tools to represent the company structure.
About the technical internship, it aims to bring the student in contact with working life in a company where bioengineers are likely to exercice their activities.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

The internship preparation session must allow the student to:


  • identify the company organisation linked to their differents functions and ressources;
  • characterize the running of an entreprise.
The technical interniship must allow the student to:


  • access to a better understanding of constraints and characteristics of work in professionnal context through the discovery of the reality of the job of a bioengineer, and a sector of activity;
  • mature its professional project and to better indentify its expectations, its adapability, its soft skills, etc.;
  • acquire a necessary professional approach to find an employment (conduct a preliminary reflection on the choice of the company where he wants to do his internship, writing a CV and a cover letter and prepartion for an interview, etc. ).

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

- 1 e-larning module
- 1 face-to-face session in large auditorium
- 1 internship with a duration of minimum 8 weeks

Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning)

Face-to-face sessions + e-learning module + realization of one internship with a duration of minimum 8 weeks.

Assessment methods and criteria

The score is based on:


  • Student's analysis ability and the work quality (40% of final score)
  • Organisational analysis of the internship company (20% of final score)
  • Quality of the oral presentation (20% of final score)
  • Feedback of internship chief
