Learning unit contents

- Aspects of perception: psychophysical relations, seeing shapes, colours, relief, movement, objects. Illusions and visual inattentions, visual strategies, multisensorial integration and substitutes. - Applications in everyday life: advertising; lighting and road markings on motorways and in towns; media and communication; eye-witness reports; robotics; etc.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

Knowledge of the general anatomy and physiology of the sensory organs.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

In-depth study of a theme on recent bibliographical works.
