Learning outcomes of the learning unit
The first objective is to give informations regarding the different neurotransmitter systems in the central nervous system (CNS). The final objective is to give a good understanding of the mechanisms of action of the main types of psychotropic drugs (medications as well as drugs of abuse). These mechanisms explain both the desired and undesired effects of these substances.
