Learning unit contents

Contents : 1) Analyze of written and audiovisual media in France and Belgium, 2) Analyze of newspapers political ideologies, 3) knowledge of international political events. 
Students will have to write a comparative analysis of 2 newspapers articles.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

Students will be able to analyse a press article or a report from a TV news programme while taking into account the broadcaster's ideology.

No particular pre-requisites.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning)

Face-to-face; course on Monday from 08:00 to 10:00 (A1/ Salle Wittert). 
Based on exercises carried out in class or at home and based on theoretical contributions which can have a practical application, teaching will focus on student participation, interactions within the group and individual involvement.

Assessment methods and criteria

Continuous assessment (40% of the grade) covering: - written work.
In January: Written exam (60%) including open questions and possibly one or more multiple choice questions.
