Learning outcomes of the learning unit

  • · know and understand the basic theories and concepts in diversity management
  • · know and understand the social issues linked with diversity within organizations
  • · know and understand the political issues influencing diversity management
  • · analyze and understand the relations between diversity management and HRM issues in order to solve a concrete management issue
  • · research the information needed to solve a problem linked to diveristy manage ment and to present this information adequately
  • · work within a team
  • · assess critically political, economic and business information on diveristy management at national and international levels

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

No choice for students who choosed or could be take the cours of "gestion de la diversité" (FSS).   not accessible to students who choose intercultural management, you have to choose one of the 2 courses

some articles to read before the course / work group analysis of case study/ some people inviter / some personal research all the students must attend at all courses

Obligatory inscription on the Course website from the first course, to carry out all the work on time (no work accepted by mail and outside the dates).

Assessment methods and criteria

Work group 

  • 30%: 1st version (ppt + word document)
  • 30% 2sd(final) version  (ppt + word document+ oral presentation)
  • Individual work - summary of text before the course (20%)
  • Participation et présence in course (10%)
  • Participation forum (10%)
The subject of the work will be fixed in the first course even the group and datelines
For the work group, the preparation must be presented to the te.acher one week before the class presentation
