This course aims at giving students analysis tools for a better comprehension of how an institution runs and sometimes runs across problems ...
It will help students better integrate in an institution and make them more efficient.
The presentation of concepts of rationality, culture, socialisation, power, bureaucraty, strategy, system allows the analyse of different situations.
The analyse of the organisations presents key structural variables: work division and coordination , "inter-unit liaison mechanisms", "authority systems and formal communication flows", "power systems and informal communication flows", " kind of environment", etc.
The new theories of organizations applied at the institutions are presented too.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
Objectives:The objectives of the course are: - To Understand the concepts to analyze the institutions - To Compare, to analyze different theories - To apply different concepts and different theories at the situations of the institution - To apply steps of research: questions, hypothesis, context, research of informations - To be situated in organizational and institutional context and purpose solutions for the different situations

Planned learning activities and learning events are face -to -face presentations, interactives methods, participative and production methods:
Research of informations in writing suport to acquire knowledge and to explore
Presentation face -to -face to explain writing suport
Examples,case studies to present knowledge and to understand and analyse
Debates about some concepts (limited rationality, informel aspects, culture) with meta reflexive approach critical aspects
Analysis of one organization, interview (1-3 students), for problem solving, team working, production auto-analysis the maner of organize the work in the group.

Exercises in small groups with the assistance of the teacher
The presentation of the concepts and the theories at first semester), the works and the presentations of the works in small group at the first semester. Conferences are organized too.
