Learning outcomes of the learning unit
The course aims at introducing the fundamentals in organic chemistry. This strategy rests on the functional-group approach and a mechanistic approach.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Basic knowledge in chemistry.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Participation to the praticals is mandatory
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning)
The copies of the transparencies are available for the students.
Recommended or required readings
Organic Chemistry, J. McMurry, 6e édition, Thomson - Brooks/Cole, Belmont, California, USA, 2004
Photocopies of the transparencies (± 530 pages)
Experimental Organic Chemistry. Principles and Practice, L.M. Harwood et C.J. Moody, Blackwell Scientific Publications
