Learning unit contents

The workshop addresses during two intensive weeks a topical conservation/restoration problem.
In 2017-2018, it will address reuse scenarios of the Grand Séminiare church in Liège (18th century church, built by B. Digneffe).

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

The student must give an answer to a practical conservation-restoration question within a short period, on the basis of field investigations, documentary research, lectures and meetings with all the stakeholders.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

ARCH1732 and ARCH1733 (corequisite).

Group field work on site.
Lectures and meetings with various stakeholders.
Visits and short study trip (reused churches in Belgium and the Netherlands).
