Theory, modernity and/or history.
About the architectural object and the concept of minimalism: an attitude linking modernity with tradition (Donald Judd, Luis Barragan). The structure and the surface (Sol Lewitt). Territory and "marks" through the experience of Land art.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
To compare different modes of architectural production (speech and specific objects) and to understand the processes of "projectisation".
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
The history of architecture and art (simultaneously). Particularly of the 19th Century and the modernists of the 1930s.
